60 members of Shincheonji Volunteer Group's Jecheon branch conducted its 'Wall Story' service in Gumi Village, Bongyang township, Jecheon city, North Chungcheong Province, from 8th to the 14th May.
'Wall Story', in its 10th year, is one of the three major projects of Shincheonji Volunteer Group, and is a mural painting activity conducted by 70 branches throughout Korea. It is an urban regeneration project that restores dilapidated murals through paintings, depicting characteristics specific to local regions and the stories of local residents on murals. The themes and pictures designed on the murals are decorated upon the request of the beneficiaries.

In Gumi village, the Jecheon branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group painted murals on the theme of 'Joyful Harvest' on a wall 1.5m high and 25m long.
The mural depicts the warm nostalgia of children freely running around during the harvest and sharing food together in an open field.
Elder A, the owner of the wall, said, “The painting is wonderful - I'm sure my grandchildren will love it when they see it.”
Joon-ho Jung, head of the Jecheon branch of the volunteer group, said, “We will continue to convey a heart of love and care to our neighbours through these activities.”
Meanwhile, the Jecheon branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group is carrying out various other social contribution activities, including 'Visiting Health Doctor' for the medically vulnerable, 'Love your Country, Peace Sharing' towards the common realisation of peace, 'Good Consumption, Good Donation Campaign' to boost the local economy, and 'More the Better' programme for the promotion of emotional wellbeing through the sharing of companion plants.
