Shincheonji Volunteer Group, Suwon Branch, delivers pot plants to the Korean War Veterans Association and signs an agreement
[Cheonji Ilbo Suwon = Reporter Ji-min Ryu] The Suwon branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group (Director Dong-seong Kim) signed an agreement with the local branch of the Korean War Veterans Association on the 28th March to carry out the 'Sharing Hope for More' project, and delivered 20 succulent plants.
The 'Dadaikseon' ('More the Better') initiative, of which the 'Sharing Hope for More' project belongs, is one which helps volunteers and beneficiaries grow in hope through the act of giving companion plants, and unites all members of society, irrespective of one's social standing.
The signing ceremony was attended by the head of the Suwon branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group Dong-seong Kim, Korean War Veterans Association Chairman Gu-jeong Lee, and Yeonmu Social Welfare Center Director Young-hwan Oh.
Prior to the signing of the agreement, in January, the welfare center delivered a course on succulent plants for the underresourced community and a greetings card to the (6.25) Korean War veterans to branch director Gu-jeong Lee.
Dong-seong Kim, head of the Suwon Branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group, said, “I hope we can bring fresh life to children and the elderly by sharing hope through the ‘More the Better’ campaign.”
