On the 7th June, Shincheonji Volunteer Group Donghae Branch (Director Chan-yong Park) visited vulnerable homes with the Bugok Neighbourhood Administrative Welfare Center to carry out volunteer activities to 'improve the residential environment'.

As part of the 'pinky promise' project planned by Shincheonji Volunteer Group, the volunteer activity held on that day was carried out to solve the difficulties facing people with disabilities and support their emotional wellbeing.

The beneficiaries of this volunteer activity at the request of the Bugok Neighbourhood Administrative Welfare Centre were the visually impaired family members in households in need of a drastic change in living and sanitation conditions.

In response, the members of Shincheonji Volunteer Group Donghae Branch cleaned the bathroom and kitchen and extended a helping hand throughout the house.

An official from the Administrative Welfare Center said, “We were satisfied with the improvements made to the living environment of families with disabilities last year, so we again asked Shincheonji Volunteer Group  for their assistance. We're grateful to all the volunteers - they've really filled the occupiers' homes with love and hope through their service.”

The beneficiary also said, “The house has become really tidy, and it's so refreshing. We have a better future.”

In August of last year, the volunteer group also visited homes experiencing hoarding, where occupiers were unable to do any physical activity due to paraplegia, and carried out activities to improve the living environment.

Meanwhile, Shincheonji Volunteer Group Donghae branch continues to provide various community services, including donating goods to Bugok and Samhwa-neighbourhood Administrative Welfare Centres every month through the 'Good Donation, Good Consumption Campaign', the 'More the Better' project to promote emotional wellbeing through sharing companion plants, 'Visiting Health Doctor' service for the medically vulnerable and the 'Love Your Country, Peace Sharing' project for a drive towards the common goal of peace.
