[Cheonji Ilbo Gangwon = Reporter Hyun-bok Lee] Shincheonji Church of Jesus' Philip tribe invited relatives and people of national merit from various organisations to partake in a family and group photoshoot to celebrate the Family Month of May.

The purpose of this event, in which 80 families participated, was to emphasise the importance of the family unit becoming an anchor of support in times of need, and to leave a precious memory for people of national merit who have sacrificed their lives for their country  (Korea).

Facilities usedStudio A at Wonju Church on the weekends from the 14th to the 29th May, Studio S at Chuncheon Church in Hupyeong neighbourhood on 3 days on the 14th, 15th, and 20th, and Studio P at Gangneung Church on the 14th and 15th. Jecheon Church filmed an event inside the church on the 22nd, and Chungju Church did the same at Yeonsu-dong on the 24th.

On the 22nd, a member of the Korean War Veterans' Association (Hoengseong branch), who participated in a group photoshoot upon the invitation from Wonju Church, said, I thought it would be nice to have this photo taken and hung up in my office, because the photo was taken when I was sick.

In addition, Gangneung Church and Jecheon Church took pictures with people of national merit who have dedicated their lives to their country.

Several families participated in this event, and families who live apart but wanted to create and keep a precious memory in the family memoirs, gave a positive response.

An official from Shincheonji Wonju Church said, I hope that the photoshoot will be a valuable time to reflect on the meaning of love and gratitude between family members at this time, when psychological challenges and the like are many owing to Covid-19.

For this commemorative photoshoot on family month, Shincheonji Church was involved in the entire production process, from filming to printing and framing, and presented them to each family.

With the mindset to provide for the public good at a time of national difficulty, the Philip tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus participated in a group blood donation campaign in April to help resolve the national blood crisis.
