Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, held a press conference at the Shincheonji Peace Institute in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi province on the 19th and shared the results of the Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) made with established churches.

Shincheonji is making efforts to establish a path of mutual cooperation and development through the signing of MOUs, which enables church congregations to study the revealed theology from Shincheonji, and by having invited pastors to the Shincheonji Bible Seminar held from April to June this year.

As of the end of June, there are 8176 churches in 80 countries that have signed an MOU with Shincheonji Church of Jesus. In addition, since the Shincheonji Bible Seminar was held from April to June, 62 new MOUs have been signed in Korea and 1274 outside Korea. Among them, 1237 churches in 33 countries have changed their signboards to Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, Shincheonji produced more than 100,000 graduates, taking the Christian world, which is in a period of stagnation, by surprise.

Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji said, “The way forward for the Korean church is one in which we all live together in harmony.”

“We, religious people, have one God, one scripture, one heaven and no reason to fight. I believe that people of religion should create a world of love, mutual understanding and harmony, and live together as people of religion should. Even at school, those with knowledge teach children without knowledge. It's also recorded in the Bible that when we become one, the knowledge of the truth increases. It is also written that the wolf shall live with the lamb, so is there any reason to fight and quarrel? The Bible says to love your neighbour as yourself. Because of religion, love and everything should get better and develop.”

Chairman Lee emphasised that now is the time for religions to understand each other, and that his desire is for religions to unite with Shincheonji.

“This person (I, the Chairman) does not want to become an enemy of even a dog out on the street. However, as you know, many churches have severely criticised us because of a complete lack of understanding. But now, as time goes on, little by little, this trend is changing. The people of the world out there, the people of every country, now want to become one with us. In the past, there was a time when Christianity and Buddhism lived as enemies. These days, we curse each other for no reason. But religions should make every effort to understand each other. We can get along well with each other. A true person of religion should be a light who possesses and gives virtue to the world. Who would warm to someone who does not have virtue?”

Despite dogged prejudices and persecutions, Shincheonji is growing rapidly every year.

Unlike other denominations, Shincheonji's revealed theology, which clearly testifies to the prophecies and fulfilled realities of the Book of Revelation, is cited as a factor for its growth.

Shincheonji will continue to actively sign MOUs in order to grow together with the Korean Church.
