Numerous media outlets in South Korea have been reporting on the many activities conducted by Shincheonji Volunteer Group for nationwide community development, particularly during the emerging 'post-COVID' era. Most recently, on the 26th May, a certificate of appreciation ceremony was held at the office of the Korean War Veterans Association (Ansan city, Gyeonggi Branch) in Ansan city, Gyeonggi province. Shincheonji Volunteer Group Ansan branch (Director Chang-deok Koh) received a certificate of appreciation from the Korean War Veterans Association (Ansan city, Gyeonggi Branch).

The delivery of the certificate of appreciation on that day was made as an expression of deep gratitude for their faithful service to the Korean War Veterans Association events and volunteer work over the years, while officials from both organisations gathered and had a warm discussion.

An official of the Korean War Veterans Association said, “We're deeply grateful for the contribution made to the development of the local community through the spirit of sacrifice and service.”

Chang-deok Koh, head of the Ansan branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group, who received the certificate of appreciation, said, “Compared to the individuals who sacrificed their lives for the country, the part we play is minor.”

Meanwhile, the Ansan branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group is conducting various events and volunteer services, such as COVID-19 sanitisation and disinfection, hair and beauty care, and donations of companion plants to the Korean War Veterans Association.
