[Cheonji Ilbo = Reporter Haein Song] Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairman Man-hee Lee, Shincheonji Church of Jesus) exhibited its love for various sectors of society to commemorate the 'Family Month' of May in Korea.

Shincheonji Thaddeus tribe, which is based in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region, conducted a campaign under the slogan, 'Love of Thaddeus Tribe', as an expression of love for neighbours and relatives during the family month of May.

The Daegu branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group (managed by Jabong Shin) celebrated Mother's Day by giving carnations and serving meals to the seniors of the Korean War Veterans' Association (Daegu) and the Defoliation Veterans' Association (Daegu).

The Pohang branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group visited Juwangsan National Park and the Cheongsong County Yasong Art Museum with members of the Korea Association for People with Disabilities (Pohang).

On 21st May 2022, Shincheonji Thaddeus tribe conducted its 'Love of Thaddeus Tribe' campaign, in which female members of Thaddeus tribe cooked hot soup and side dishes with ingredients, such as garlic, that they had harvested themselves. They also added various seasonings and had the meals delivered to residents who are experiencing weaker health or to those struggling to make ends meet.

Shincheonji Thaddeus tribe also invited congregation members' relatives, who do not practise the Christian faith, to participate via Zoom. Gas circuit breakers were distributed to the elderly for improved safety measures. Shincheonji Gumi church broadcast this expression of love via 'Visible Radio.'

Shincheonji Thaddeus tribe also held an online 'Competition of Family Love' from the 1st to the 21st May which included poetry, photography, and drawings by congregation members.

About 1,000 pieces of art were submitted, including ▲ a happy family memoir▲ a poem of gratitude ▲ a message of support ▲ and family plans post Covid-19. After a fair evaluation, Shincheonji selected and awarded the best submissions on the 27th.

Furthermore, the following performances were held in various departments and institutions: ▲Family Children's party ▲Students' Association 'Love Quiz' ▲Youth 'Dacheong Market Bazaar' ▲'Family, Love, Peace and Healing'.

The 'Daldaltoon' initiative, which promotes cooking on behalf of and eating as a family rather than for oneself, proved very popular with church members, as well as relatives who do not practise a life of faith.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus' Thaddeus tribe leader said, “Visiting and thanking our parents by sincerely telling them, 'I love you,' is the same act of filial piety that can be shown to God and Jesus, who are our spiritual parents.” He emphasised, In the future, Thaddeus tribe will become 'a tribe of love' that practises filial piety in return for the love received from God.”

The other tribes of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, which are based in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province, participated in a nationwide 'Life ON' blood donation campaign to give blood and resolve the national blood crisis, and donated 20 million Korean won (£12,500) in disaster relief for the Uljin Wildfire. A helping hand is being lent to struggling communities as the love of Jesus is put into practice.
