Shincheonji Volunteer Group was founded by Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus) in South Korea. Its purpose is to tear down the barriers of conflict within class, gender, religion, and politics, and unite hearts and minds by putting the teachings of heaven into practice for the growth and development of communities everywhere.

On the 6th July, the Jecheon branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group held a large-scale handprinting event of the Taegeukgi (Korean national flag) in the lead-up to the '8th Love Your Country, Peace Sharing Event'.

The '8th Love Your Country, Peace Sharing' event for the promotion of peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula and world peace is scheduled to be held in Gangwon Province in early August on the theme of 'Peace Again'. This event will be made more meaningful as the surviving veterans of the Korean War will participate as living witnesses of the days of old to inform citizens of the need for peace today.

Through the pre-event, citizens at Solbat Park were introduced to the 'Love Your Country, Peace Sharing' event, and various booths and large-scale handprinted Taegeukgi were made. It awakened a personal desire to ensure the safeguarding of peace in the Republic of Korea.

Also, there were activities including writing peace postcards wishing for world peace for the families of the people of the world suffering from war, a war photo exhibition, hanging of the national flag, and taking pictures in the photo zone.

A citizen who attended the event said, “It touched my heart a lot because my father was a veteran of the Korean War. I hope such events will continue in the future so that more people can know about it.”

Meanwhile, Shincheonji Volunteer Group has 350,000 members in 78 branches in Korea and overseas, and conducts its work in the basic spirit of 'Love, Light, and Peace.'
