“This campaign is not just about picking up litter, but is also designed to raise awareness about the importance and methods of properly disposing of food waste.”
An official from the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Incheon Branch recently explained the purpose of the 'Green Nature' campaign at Seokbawi Park in Incheon, Republic of Korea.
The 'Green Nature' campaign pursued by Shincheonji Volunteer Group carries out wetland conservation activities, environmental cleanups to protect major facilities and cultural assets, disaster recovery activities, public awareness campaigns for environmental protection, and the creation of flower paths in illegal dumping areas to preserve a beautiful nature for posterity.
On that day, volunteers cleared away fallen leaves that could block drains around Seokbawi Park and picked up cigarette butts and litter. They also held a campaign to inform citizens who visited the park of the importance of proper food waste disposal for environmental protection.
The Incheon branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group has asked for active participation from citizens in creating a clean Incheon.
