Church Pastor Partners With Shincheonji Hwajeong Church as a Cooperative Church
“I was proud to have been in ministry for a long time, but I have only now realised the true meaning of ministry.”
These are the words of Pastor Yoo, who studied the theology of praise and led praise gatherings around South Korea for over 30 years, but has now realised the importance of the revealed word and promised to cooperate with Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
After hearing news of the growth of Shincheonji Church of Jesus through a fellow pastor, Pastor Yoo, who serves at a church in Seoul, came to realise that the reason his ministry was struggling was because of the ‘absence of the word of the Bible’, and registered with the Zion Christian Mission Centre run by the Simon Tribe of Shincheonji.
Perceiving the logic of the revealed word, Pastor Yoo signed an MOU with the Shincheonji Hwajeong Church and changed the church signage to Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
An official from Shincheonji Church of Jesus said, “After serving for a long time, weary pastors finally realised God’s true will and gained strength after hearing the Word from Shincheonji Church of Jesus.” He added, “Let’s not lose hope in this difficult environment and work together to create many good things.”
The MOU and signboard change phenomenon is not limited to Korea. As of the end of September, 756 churches in South Korea and 13,195 churches in 86 countries overseas have signed MOUs with Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Moreover, 1671 churches in 43 countries have joined Shincheonji Church of Jesus and changed their signs.
