On the 9th December, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Jinhae Branch (hereinafter referred to as the Jinhae Branch) held its last environmental clean-up service of the year, ‘Green Nature,’ at the Central Market.
Activities carried out by the Jinhae branch this year included 'Beautiful Seniors' to support the healthy and happy retirement of seniors, 'Wall Story' to restore dilapidated murals into beautiful murals, and 'Love Your Country, Share Peace' to commemorate the souls of the war veterans who died for the peace of Korea and to promote a world of peace without conflict.
Among them, the most commonly conducted service of the Jinhae branch was the environmental clean-up 'Green Nature' campaign (12 times) at various places including Jinhae Central Market, Jinhaeru, and Idong Railroad.
What is particularly noteworthy about this year's activities is that they responded immediately to the voices of the local community and citizens.
A volunteer who participated in all the volunteer activities carried out by the Jinhae branch this year said, “Since the beginning of this year, the local community has shown a lot of interest and requests to the Jinhae branch, and I have always participated in activities to be of some help,” and “I will continue to participate until the day when all of the Jinhae area becomes clean.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Green Nature’ campaign is purposed to preserve a beautiful nature for posterity by carrying out wetland conservation activities, environmental cleanups to protect major facilities and cultural assets, disaster recovery activities, public awareness campaigns for environmental protection, and the creation of flower paths in waste dumping areas.
