With this heart and attitude, the Gwangmyeong branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group carried out its environmental 'Green Nature' clean-up activity on Gwangmyeong City Hall Road on the 23rd November.

As one of the most heavily travelled roads in Gwangmyeong City, local residents experience the nuisance of heavy fly-tipping by people passing through the area.

On that day, 20 volunteers lined up and cleaned the street holding tongs, brooms, and refuse bags.

After seeing a young man sweeping the street, local resident Mi-hee  Woo (female, 60s) said, “I feel like the atmosphere has brightened up when young people come to our neighbourhood to clean the streets. We’re very grateful.”

Meanwhile, the nationwide 'Green Nature' campaign of Shincheonji Volunteer Group is purposed to preserve a beautiful natural environment for posterity by carrying out wetland conservation activities, environmental cleanups to protect major facilities and cultural assets, disaster recovery activities, public awareness campaigns for environmental protection, and the creation of flower paths in illegal dumping areas.
