This is what Sara Son, the head of the Suyeong District Council, said upon presenting the Mayoral Commendation to the Eastern Busan Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group at the Suyeong District Volunteer Awards Ceremony held at the Suyeong District Citizens' Hall in Busan, Republic of Korea, on the 12th December.
This awards ceremony was organised by the Suyeong District Volunteer Center to commemorate International Volunteer Day, December 5th, and to encourage the hard work of those who have dedicated themselves to volunteer work in the local community throughout the year. About 280 people, including local residents, attended the event.
Meanwhile, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group was founded in the Republic of Korea by Shincheonji Church of Jesus to break down the barriers of conflict found within class, gender, religion, and politics, and unite hearts and minds by putting the teachings received from the heavens into practice for the growth and development of local communities.
