Shincheonji Volunteer Group Eastern Busan Branch Receives Mayoral Commendation from Suyeong District
The Eastern Busan Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group (Vice-Branch Manager Cho Young-tae, hereinafter referred to as the Busan East Branch) received a commendation from the Suyeong-gu Mayor at the 'Suyeong-gu Volunteer Day' awards ceremony held at the Suyeong-gu Citizens' Hall in Busan on the 12th.
This awards ceremony was organized by the Suyeong-gu Volunteer Center to commemorate Volunteer Day, December 5, and to encourage the hard work of those who have dedicated themselves to volunteer work in the local community throughout the year.
About 280 people, including Suyeong-gu District Mayor Kang Seong-tae, Suyeong-gu Council Speaker Son Sara, Suyeong-gu Volunteer Center Director Park Chang-sik, and local residents, attended the event.
The Shincheonji Volunteer Group's main activities include ▲blood donation service for blood supply ▲invitation events for national meritorious persons and war veterans ▲senior center service ▲hairdressing service for the disabled ▲mural painting ▲improvement of the environment of homes with hoarding disorders ▲visiting health doctors ▲environmental cleanup campaign 'Let's Make Nature Green', etc. The Eastern Branch received this award in recognition of its positive impact on the local community through various volunteer activities and dedication.
Son Sara, the head of the Suyeong-gu Council, who presented the award, said, “This world is still a warm and livable place thanks to volunteers and organizations like you. Please take care of your health and I hope you continue to be active next year as well,” expressing her gratitude and encouragement.
Busan East Branch Deputy Director Cho Young-tae, who received the award on behalf of the group, said, “We have done our best to be the light of the world throughout the year and have continued our volunteer work with a happy heart,” and added, “As we have received this meaningful award, we will continue to become a Shincheonji Volunteer Group that brightens the world even more through volunteer work.”
Meanwhile, Shincheonji Volunteer Group continues to carry out active activities through 78 branches nationwide. Representative volunteer programs include the emotional support program Dadaikseon, the peace event Love of Country Peace Sharing, and the environmental campaign Nature A Purja, and they practice the value of sharing in various fields and contribute to the development of local communities.
