Revelation 10: What is the mystery of the seventh trumpet?
📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.
So, what is a spiritual trumpet based on the analogy of a physical trumpet? Moreover, who blows the trumpet and what is the sound the trumpet makes? Looking at Isaiah 58:1, God, who is Spirit, told the prophet Isaiah to sound his voice like a trumpet, and to make known his transgressions and the sins of God's people.
At that time, God assumed the role of the one blowing the trumpet, the prophet Isaiah was the trumpet, and the sound Isaiah proclaimed was the sound of the trumpet. In this way, just as a person blows a trumpet with his or her mouth to preach the word, it is the spirit that in reality communicates the will of the Spirit through this person. Those who blow the trumpet are God and the angels of the spiritual world, and the sound of the trumpet is the word of testimony, that is, the word of proclamation.
At the first coming about 2,000 years ago, Jesus was the reality of the spiritual trumpet, which is the trumpet of God. At that time, the people of Jerusalem were being captured and destroyed by false shepherds, who were the scribes and Pharisees, because they had broken their covenant with God and betrayed. At that time, as written in Matthew 23, Jesus cried out woe seven times and, as the trumpet, proclaimed the word of God that God's chosen people were being judged for their betrayal.
How many spiritual trumpets are sounded at the Second Coming of the Lord? Which trumpet sound should we hear?
In Revelation 8, it is said that when Jesus opens the seventh seal, the seven angels who stand before God receive seven trumpets. At this time, six of these seven trumpets make it known that the chosen people who betrayed were being driven out to the Gentiles and receiving God's wrath and judgment. On the other hand, in Revelation 10, when the seventh trumpet is blown, the mystery of God is fulfilled just as it was announced through the gospel preached by His servants the prophets, and in Revelation 11, the kingdom of the world becomes the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign forever and ever. From this point of view, the seventh trumpet can be said to be the trumpet that proclaims salvation.
Therefore, there are a total of seven trumpets at the time of the Lord's Second Coming, and the last trumpet, which is the seventh trumpet, is the sound we must hear. Then, let's find out why it is said that the sound of the seventh trumpet of salvation is a mystery, and through whom we can hear the sound of this trumpet.
In the book of Revelation, which is the final book of the New Testament, there are three mysteries to be fulfilled: the mystery of betrayal, the mystery of destruction, and the mystery of salvation. Among them, the mystery of betrayal is the mystery of the seven stars and the seven golden lampstands in Revelation 1:20, who are like John the Baptist who prepared the way for the Lord 2,000 years ago, and they work as a lamp for a while at the Second Coming of the Lord. The seven messengers are the seven lamps.
However, because they betrayed and broke the covenant with Jesus, Satan's shepherds, that is, the group of the dragon and the beast with seven heads and ten horns, entered the tabernacle - which is heaven - and fought the saints, defeated them, and took them captive. The Prostitute and the beast with seven heads and ten horns is the mystery of destruction in Revelation 17:7.
The important thing to note is that because these are mysteries in the Book of Revelation, the actual realities of the betrayers and destroyers are unaware that they are the realities of these prophecies. This is because, without understanding the Bible, one will not be able to understand and believe in the mystery of God, no matter how much it is fulfilled.
For this reason, Jesus showed all these facts to the promised shepherd, the New John, who saw and heard the events of betrayal and destruction at the location of the event where the book of Revelation was fulfilled. He ate the opened scroll of revelation in Revelation 10 and testified again. That's what he did. This promised shepherd, in Revelation 12, fought and overcame the dragon's group, and testified the events of betrayal and destruction that were fulfilled according to the promise of Revelation to the captured chosen people and to all the people of the world, and let people come out of the world of Satan by helping people understand his identity, and repent. As is proclaimed, this new John is the promised shepherd who overcomes, and is the reality of the seventh trumpet of salvation and the mystery of salvation. Therefore, all people on earth should clearly know that the sound of the trumpet of salvation can only be heard through this promised shepherd, who is the reality of the seventh trumpet.
Where is the place where the seventh trumpet is blown, and who is the reality of those who come out after hearing the sound of this trumpet?
In Joel 2 verse 1, it is said that the trumpet is blown in Zion. At the time of the Lord's return, when the book of Revelation is fulfilled, Mount Zion, the holy mountain of God, is the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony of Revelation 15, where those who overcame the beast of Revelation 13 are gathered. The trumpet of salvation is sounded in the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony.
Therefore, the reality of the place where the seventh trumpet is blown today is Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, which is fulfilled according to the book of Revelation. In Revelation chapter 14, there are the 144,000 ripe firstfruits who are sealed at Mount Zion. These are the people who gather after hearing the sound of the trumpet when the trumpet is sounded on Mount Zion, that is, the words of testimony of betrayal, destruction and salvation. As recorded in Revelation chapters 7 and 14, these are the 144,000 people from Mount Zion, who are harvested and sealed with God's seed today, and the multitude in white whose sins are forgiven by the blood of Jesus.
What mystery will be fulfilled when the seventh angel blows the seventh trumpet?
Looking at the words of 1 Corinthians 15:51-54, Apostle Paul said that when the last trumpet is sounded, those who had died in the body would be raised to immortality, and those who are alive will be transformed. Also, it is said that death is swallowed up by life because this mortal body is clothed with immortality. Therefore, when the last and seventh trumpet is sounded, the mystery of God that will be fulfilled is resurrection and eternal life.
