Who are the Two People in the Field in the Last Days of the Second Coming?
📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.

According to Matthew 24:40, when the time of the Lord's Second Coming comes, one of two people in the field will be taken to heaven, while the other will be left in the field. Let's see what kind of field this is, and what these two people represent.
Matthew 24 records Jesus' answers to the disciples' questions about the end of the age, which is the time of the Lord's return. In verse 3, the disciples asked what the signs of the coming of the Lord and of the end of the age would be. The answer to this question can be found in Matthew 24. These words of prophecy, which believers who hope for heaven must understand, are being fulfilled today.

Firstly, Jesus said to be aware of people's acts of deception, and he said that wars, famines and earthquakes would take place as signs to mark the start of calamities in the last days. This war is not a physical war, but a spiritual war between spiritual Jerusalem, which is the kingdom of God, and spiritual Babylon, which is the kingdom of Satan.
As a result of this spiritual warfare, God's chosen people, spiritual Jerusalem, would betray and be defeated. In verses 15-16, it is said that, at that time, the abomination that causes desolation would stand in the holy place, and that God's people must then flee to the mountains. This mountain is Mount Zion, the place of salvation where God and Jesus will come to in the last days.
In verses 29-31, it was said that after the people of Jerusalem - who are likened to the sun, moon and stars - darkened and fell and were destroyed, Jesus would send his angels to sound trumpets and gather his elect from all directions to be harvested to Mount Zion.
As a result of this spiritual warfare, God's chosen people, spiritual Jerusalem, would betray and be defeated. The words of Matthew 24:40 are fulfilled at the time of harvest to show that, among the two types of believers in the field (religious world), one type understands the revealed word delivered by the shepherd (pastor) who is after God's own heart and is on Mount Zion and is harvested, while the other type does not understand the revealed word, disobeys and remains in the field to receive judgment.
About 2600 years ago, in Jeremiah 31, God prophesied that two kinds of seed would be sown, and about 600 years later, God's promise was fulfilled when the good seed, which is the word of God, was sown by Jesus at the first coming in Matthew 13. It was sown into the field of Jesus, which is the Church of Jesus, while the devil's shepherds, who were the Jewish scribes and Pharisees, sowed the seed of weeds, which is the devil's word, into the Church of Jesus, which is the field where Jesus had sown his seed.
Therefore, two seeds were sown in the same field of the Church of Jesus. As a result, there were two types of children within the religious world. These types of believers represent the two men in the field in Matthew 24:40.
Jesus promised that at the end of the age, which is the time of harvest, he would send the harvesters to firstly tie the children of the devil, born of weeds, in bundles to be burned, and then harvest the wheat born of God's seed to bring them into the barn of heaven.
Where should one go to carry out the promised work of harvest? You must go to the field where the seeds were sown. The field in which the good seed of Jesus was sown is the Church of Jesus. You have to go there to harvest. Not everyone in the Church of Jesus is harvested. Because the two seeds are mixed, only those born of God's seed are harvested. Therefore, one is taken out while the other is left.
You should think about whether you have been harvested to Mount Zion, or whether you are still in the field. The children of God and the children of the Devil are distinguished according to whether one has been harvested or left in the field. Through this process, the people of the kingdom of God and the people of the kingdom of the devil are revealed. Even if the children and pastors of the devil do not believe in this fact and interfere with the work of harvest by shouting 'harvesters forbidden!', God's promise will nevertheless be fulfilled. These people will be judged according to the word because it is absolute.

Just because we're together in the field, it does not mean that all are saved or that none are saved. Of course, that is not to say that you cannot be saved if you are in the field.
