What Kind of Place is the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony in Revelation 15?
📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.
The Chinese characters of the word 'temple' means 'holy house', or 'great house', meaning a place where the holy God resides.
In order to perceive the reality of the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, let's first look at the temple of God that was built during Moses' era.
In Exodus 25, God showed Moses the things of heaven and had him build a tabernacle on the earth. This tabernacle was a temple and a dwelling place for God. In Hebrews 9, it was said that the tabernacle made by Moses was divided into two.
Apostle Paul said that the Holy Spirit had revealed to him the connection between these two rooms, writing in Hebrews 9 that the way into the second room would not appear as long as the first room remained standing (Hebrews 9:8).
It was also said that this tabernacle was an illustration (parable) for the present time applying only until the time of the new order (Hebrews 9:9-10). So, it is at the end times when everything is renewed and revealed that one can perceive the secrets of the curtain and veil.
Let's see how the reality of Moses' tabernacle, hidden in parables, has appeared today as these parables are now being plainly testified through the fulfilment of the book of Revelation.
In the same way that Moses' tabernacle was divided into the first room, which is the Holy Place, and the second room, which is the Most Holy Place, two tabernacles have appeared according to the book of Revelation. This first tabernacle is the tabernacle of heaven in Revelation Chapter 13, and the second is the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony in Revelation Chapter 15. It is written in 2 Thessalonians 2:1–3 that when the book of Revelation is fulfilled, the promised events will take place in the order of betrayal, destruction and salvation. Therefore, the first and second tabernacles in Revelation appear in the order of betrayal, destruction and salvation.
In order to fulfil the word of Revelation, God first created the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands in Revelation 1:20, and chose seven messengers to work there. However, as is seen from the contents of Revelation 2~3, these seven messengers broke the covenant with God and betrayed. This tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands that betrayed was the tabernacle of heaven in Revelation 13, which was destroyed by a beast with seven heads and ten horns. At that time, the shepherd (pastor) chosen to recreate God's tabernacle is the male child in Revelation 12 who has the iron sceptre, who is also the one who overcomes in Revelation 2:26 who receives the iron sceptre to rule over all nations.
Moreover, in Revelation Chapter 21, there is no death, crying, mourning or pain in the New Heaven and New Earth where God's people gather.
Why was the name of this temple called the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony? This Temple is called the 'Tabernacle of the Testimony' because it is a place where all those who saw and heard the events of betrayal and destruction that took place in the tabernacle of heaven in Revelation 13 gather to testify all the fulfilled realities of the tabernacle, according to the prophecies of the book of Revelation.
The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony is the name of God's temple that will appear in the end times, as prophesied through Apostle John 2,000 years ago. This is a name given by God. Most importantly, Revelation 15:4 records that the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony is the place where all nations will come. All people everywhere who wish to become the people of heaven must come to the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony.
"(Through the plagues of the seven bowls of Revelation) 'Let's completely burn them up'. Then, where can we go? Let's head to the temple. This is a church that witnesses to Jesus Christ. The church with the testimony of Jesus Christ becomes the temple of God.
But what do you say to become a temple? The seven plagues of the seven angels must end. The seven plagues must completely end before entering the temple.
This means that you must completely die before entering. It can be said that this is the meaning of the temple which one can enter after death."
