Who is the 'One who Overcomes' who Sits on the Throne of Jesus in Revelation 3?
📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.
The one who overcomes who sits on the throne of Jesus is the one who fought and overcame (defeated) Satan's Nicolaitans of Revelation 2~3, that is, the group of the dragon of Revelation 12. Also, the fact that the one who overcomes sits on the throne of Jesus means that just as the Spirit of God came to rest on Jesus at the first coming, the Spirit of Jesus comes to the promised shepherd, this 'one who overcomes', to judge and rule over the world by being with him.
Then where is the throne of God, the King of kings? Since God is a spirit, God's throne is in the spiritual realm of heaven, as seen in Revelation 4. However, what is seen here is not only the throne of God, but many thrones centred around God's throne. In Daniel 7 and Revelation 20, God opens books, rules and judges the world at the place where this throne is established.
About 2,000 years ago, at the first coming of Jesus, and as previously seen through the text, Jesus overcame and sat on the throne of the Father. The Spirit of God came to Jesus who would overcome the world controlled by the devil, and through the flesh of Jesus as the temple, established His throne and worked together with him.
Let's find out with whom, when and where the one who overcomes, who sits on the throne of Jesus at the second coming of the Lord, fights.
The time is the time of the Second Coming of the Lord, which is the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation. At this time, like John the Baptist who prepared the way for the Lord, the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands with the seven messengers who prepare the way for the Lord's Second Coming, appear. After the betrayal of these seven messengers, the Nicolaitans of Satan, the destroyer, entered and fed the messengers and congregation food sacrificed to idols and made them commit adultery. Jesus promised that those who fight and overcome Satan's Nicolaitans in this tabernacle would be seated together with Jesus on his throne. Here, Satan's Nicolaitans refers to the organisation of the beast with seven heads and ten horns that enters the tabernacle of heaven in Revelation 13 - which is the same location as the events of Revelation chapters 2 and 3 - and destroys the chosen people who betrayed. These are false shepherds whom Satan, who is called the dragon, uses, to devour the tabernacle of heaven by making them his throne (Revelation 13:2) and authority at the time of the Lord's Second Coming.
These are the subjects that we must fight and overcome at the Second Coming of the Lord. The one who fought and overcame the group of the dragon is the child born of the woman clothed with the sun, moon and stars in Revelation 12, the child who assumes the role of a congregation member, and the one who will rule all nations with an iron sceptre in the future. This child, together with the brothers, fought and overcame the enemy in the tabernacle of heaven with the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony, and so the promised shepherd who overcomes has received the promised blessings of Revelation 2 and 3 by defeating the group of the dragon.
Believers must find the one who overcomes in order to gain heaven and eternal life. In order to find the one who overcomes, you must first find the Nicolaitans, the organisation of Satan, with whom he wars. To find the Nicolaitans, you must find the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands that they destroyed. The tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands is the place where the seven angels called the seven stars (messengers) are located, and it refers to the place to whom the new John wrote the contents recorded in Revelation chapters 2 and 3. Here, those who lost were scattered in seven ways and came to an end, and the one who overcomes becomes Israel (Deuteronomy 28), creating the 12 tribes that bears 12 kinds of fruit every month.
The reality of the place where the one who overcomes is, is the new kingdom of God, a new nation created by harvesting people from the east, west, north and south - that is, the field of Jesus where God's seed was sown 2,000 years ago - as seen in Revelation 7 and 14. This place is Shincheonji, established by those who overcame the beast of Revelation 15. It is Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Rev 4:8, Rev 7:15, Rev 21:1~2).
As in Revelation 3:12, God, Jesus, and the kingdom of heaven in the spiritual world are together with the one who overcomes. Any believer who desires heaven must belong to the 12 tribes comprised of those who have overcome.
Pastor, Presbyterian Church
"What kind of person will sit on that throne and rule as king, and who will sit on that throne and judge the world with the angels? This throne is not one where only the twelve disciples of Jesus can sit, but Jesus said that anyone who overcomes can sit on that throne. I wish my blessings upon one person from our church to become the one who sits on the throne to judge and rule over the world.
It is not a position that is reserved for any one person, but the Bible says that the one who longs for that position today and who overcomes all the temptations of the world to secure that position will receive it. I bless you so that you may become a blessed believer who runs for the throne."
