What are the 'Seven Horns of the Lamb' in Revelation 5?
📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.
The horns are attached to the head, so first you need to understand what the head means.
In Isaiah 9:15, it is said that the head is the elders and the dignitaries, and in Isaiah 29:10, it says that the head is the seer, that is, the shepherd. In the world, the leader of a group is called a chief (首長 in Korean), using the character head (首). Similarly, in the Bible, the head refers to a leader, that is, a shepherd.
Since the head is a spiritual head, the horns are not physical horns, but spiritual horns. The horns are attached to the head of the beast and become a source of great strength, like a weapon. There are many heads without horns, but no horns without heads. In this way, the spiritual horn refers to the authority that belongs to the shepherd as its head, from whom authority and power is given.
Then, let's find out why Jesus had these seven horns.
At the Second Coming of the Lord, as prophesied in Revelation 1, the seven stars and seven messengers who prepare the way for the Lord appear. These people were chosen by Jesus to begin the work of the Lord's Second Coming. As we see in Revelation 3:1, Jesus is said to have the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, so we can see that the seven Spirits of God work together with these seven angels.
Despite this warning, the seven messengers did not repent and Jesus took away the seven spirits that were with them, and chose a new body, which are the seven horns in the text. These are seven newly established workers of duty instructed to carry out judgment on the seven messengers who betrayed. They are likened to seven horns because they become one with the seven spirits before the throne of God, belong to the Lamb, Jesus, and carry out the work of judgment, thereby demonstrating the power and majesty of Jesus.
In the Bible, there are not only horns that belong to God, but also horns that belong to Satan. As we see in Revelation 13, there are ten horns on the seven heads to which the dragon gave its power. These ten horns refer to the ten rulers who belong to the seven false shepherds of Satan.
As we see in John 14:24, the reason Jesus spoke the truth is because God was with Him. Moreover, when we are born again with the seed of God's truth, we become children of the true God as the sons of heaven, and go to heaven.
Conversely, in John 8:44, we see that the shepherd possessed by the devil's spirit speaks lies. The spirit of the devil within causes this shepherd to lie with his lips, and such a person is born of the seed of the devil. If one is born of the devil's seed, one becomes a child of the devil and will go to hell.

"In Revelation 5:6-7, Jesus Christ, the Lamb, takes the book from the right hand of him who sits on the throne. He has seven horns and seven eyes, and it is explained that the seven eyes are seven spirits.
The seven horns and seven eyes here symbolise Jesus' worthy power. In other words, the seven horns here represent the means of power. It shows the power of the eternal Christ for one who is filled with the Holy Spirit. The seven Spirits of God refer to the Holy Spirit who dwells in the fullness of the sevenfold Spirit, as seen in Revelation 1:4 and 4:5 (the seven Spirits are called the Sevenfold Spirit)".
