The Covid-19 pandemic has triggered a spread of misinformation about the Bible and the Book of Revelation within the religious community. Rumours abound with claims that the Covid-19 vaccine is, among other claims, the "mark of the beast" recorded in Revelation 13. Faith leaders and congregations claim that this pandemic is a sign of the end times.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, has announced that it will put on an additional series of weekly seminars entitled, “Testimony on Prophecy and Fulfillment of Revelation, God’s New Covenant” that will shed more light on the prophecies of the Bible, particularly those found within the Book of Revelation, from October 18th to December 27th 2021.

The seminars will be broadcasted live on YouTube and will explain the prophecies recorded in every chapter of Revelation based on the 5W1H (who, what, where, when, why, how). The main speaker will be Shincheonji Church's Chairman Man-hee Lee, who at the opening seminar on 14th August drew in an audience of 14,000 - including 1000 pastors - has maintained that he is the witness who has seen and heard all the events of Revelation's fulfilment (Revelation 22:16).

The entire series of Shincheonji Church's first round Open Bible Seminar held from August 2021 onwards attracted 1,700 pastors and 28,000 people globally. Shincheonji Church has stressed that the true meaning of the book of Revelation, which is recorded in parables, can not be understood according to man's interpretation and commentaries - which only serve to mislead believers - but only through the testimony of the one who has seen and heard its fulfilment today. 

Mr. Shin-chang Kim, General Director of the International Mission Department of Shincheonji Church, said, "The number of participants at this time reflects their interest and effort to understand the words of Revelation consistently with the rest of the Bible."
