What is the true meaning of the 'fire, smoke, and sulphur' in Revelation 9?
📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.
Therefore, it can be seen that the location of the event in Revelation 9 is the tabernacle of heaven that appeared in Revelation chapters 2, 3 and 6, that is, the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands. It is not an event that occurs throughout the world.
In Revelation 9, it is said that when the fifth angel blows his trumpet, a star that fell from the sky opens the abyss, and locusts come out of the earth and torment people who are not sealed. When the sixth angel blows his trumpet, the four angels bound at the river Euphrates are released, followed by 200,000,000 mounted troops, whose tails are like snakes, and they have heads on their tails so that fire, smoke, and sulphur come out of their mouths. It is said that 1/3 of mankind are subsequently killed. Does such a beast really exist?
The words in this text are not literal, but parables, and as we see in Isaiah 31:3, they refer to the body (person) that is used, and the rider refers to the spirit that controls the body (person) likened to a horse. The fact that the head of a horse is like a lion means that this entity is a destroyer who devours sheep-like believers.
Also, it is said that fire, smoke and sulphur come out of their mouths, but how can fire come out of a real horse's mouth? Again, this is not a real fire, but a parable. In Jeremiah 5:14, the words that come out of one's mouth are likened to fire. The fire in the text refers to false teachings and doctrines that burn and kill people's spirits.
It is said that they do not repent despite being tempted, oppressed, and killed by Satan's group with whom they colluded. This is not talking about World War III.
I'm talking about the war that will take place during World War 3 that I mentioned earlier: a 'CBR Attack'. So how do you do it? What is fire? 'Radiation'. Then what's the smoke? 'Chemical Gas'. What is 'sulphur'? Smoke is a 'biological gas' and sulphur is a 'chemical gas'. These things are just going to explode.
Modern weapons have a lot of comrades and firepower. It goes out from the front, from the back, from the side, and from behind the wing. I saw this going out from the back and going out from the front like this.”
