📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.
In Revelation 9, the beast appears. The beast has a head on its tail, and fire, smoke and sulphur comes out of its mouth. The beast also wears breastplates of iron and can even kill a third of mankind with its head and tail.
From a literal perspective, this is a bizarre appearance. No one has ever seen such a beast. Physical warfare has always existed, and physical weaponry is constantly evolving over time. The whimsical statement by some established denominations that the breastplates of iron represent nuclear weapons, is a false doctrine. We must understand that the word of God is the unchanging word of truth.
In Matthew 13:34-35, God says that he hid everything about the kingdom of heaven in parables, but that the words of the parables would not always remain hidden and would be revealed at the appointed time.
Two thousand years ago, at the First Coming, Jesus said that he came to bring fire on the earth. Did Jesus come as an arsonist who brought literal fire onto the earth? Also, in Matthew 10, it is said that he came to bring a sword. Did Jesus ever give a sword to his twelve disciples and fight? Nowhere in the Bible is Jesus given a literal sword. These are all parables. Jesus was waging spiritual warfare against false shepherds with the word of God, which is likened to the fire and sword. Today is the era when the hidden secrets are being revealed, and new heaven and new earth is now revealing all the secrets of heaven.
Then, let's find out the correct teaching from new heaven and new earth. Revelation 9 is not the third world war, but a spiritual judgment in which God's chosen people were destroyed because of their betrayal today, at the time of the fulfilment of the book of Revelation.
However, since they did not repent, they were eventually judged spiritually and were killed by the doctrine of the false shepherd-like beast of Revelation 9.
The entity riding the beast in Revelation 9, which is the instrument of judgment on the chosen people who betrayed, is the spirit of Satan, and the beast is the flesh under the control of the spirit of Satan. The tail of this beast is a false prophet according to Isaiah 9:15, and the head on its tail is a false shepherd who works with the false prophet.
Furthermore, when fire, smoke and sulfur come out of the beast's mouth and kill a third of mankind, it means that the spirits of the chosen people who betrayed and once belonged to God are now being killed by Satan's lies.
In Ephesians 6, it is said that the full armour of God, or military attire, is the word of God. The breastplates of iron worn by the beast belonging to Satan in Revelation 9 is Satan's word, that is, false doctrine. Therefore, it can be seen that the breastplates of iron are the lies from Satan's false shepherd, likened to a weapon in physical warfare.
In the case of the book of Revelation, only the one who has seen and heard at the location of the events, who is the witness, can actually testify its reality.
Shincheonji's Promised Shepherd sees, hears and testifies to the events of the war in Revelation that he saw and heard at their location, so this testimony is inevitably different from the false doctrines of the established denominations.
