📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.
Let's take a look at the correct Biblical meaning of this Wormwood. God hid the secrets of the kingdom of heaven in parables.
Today is a bright new era, and Shincheonji is revealing all the secrets.
To understand the star Wormwood that fell from the sky, you need to know the meaning of the sky, the star, the meaning of the star falling from the sky, and why the star is named Wormwood.
First, let's look at the sky that God speaks of. Although there are literal, physical heavens that God speaks of, the heaven in the main chapter reference is a spiritual heaven that is likened to the physical heaven. Just as the heavens have the characteristic of being 'high', looking at Matthew 6:9 and Revelation 4, the heavens are likened to the place where God the Most High is. Therefore, the spiritual world where God resides is heaven. Even on this earth, as in Revelation 13:6, the tabernacle where God resides is called heaven.
When comparing God's dwelling to heaven, God likens Himself to the sun in Psalm 84:11 and the numerous angels in heaven to the countless stars in the sky. Then what is the fallen star? It refers to one who has left God.
Looking at the words of Isaiah 14:12-15, the fallen star speaks of a sinful angel, or evil spirit, who opposes God in heaven, which belongs to God, and who has departed and become Satan. Even on this earth, God's tabernacle is called heaven. As we see in Genesis 37:9-11, God likens His shepherd to the sun, the evangelist to the moon, and the congregation of believers to the stars of heaven.
When a germ bomb is dropped into water, it causes a chemical reaction, and everyone who drinks this water dies. If you were to shoot at it over the skies in Seoul and it explodes, all the Seoulites would contract cholera and die in an instant.”
