Chairman Man-hee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church) concluded a series of online Bible seminars on the 25th September 2021 with a sermon entitled, "Matthew 24: The Signs of Jesus' Second Coming". 

The series of seminars, hosted by Shincheonji Church, began on the 16th August 2021 to an audience of over 14,000 - including 1000 pastors - followed by online seminars delivered by each of the 12 tribes of Shincheonji Church in Korea, and then by all 76 branch churches nationwide. Sermons and lectures were delivered on topics including, 'God’s Promise and Harvest', 'The Promise of the Bible', 'God's 6,000-year History and the Book of Revelation', 'God's Purpose and Our Faith', 'God's Will, Shincheonji', 'The Bible and the Purpose of Faith', 'The Covenant and New Covenant' and 'The Harvest Promised by God and Jesus'.

The total number of guests in attendance across all online Bible seminars, from 16th August - 25th September inclusive, exceeded 36,000, with 1000s having applied for Shincheonji Church's follow-up Bible education to be delivered by lecturers free of charge spanning the 66 books of the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation.

At the concluding online Bible Seminar held on the 25th September, Chairman Lee delivered a detailed explanation about the meaning of the prophecies (promises) recorded in Matthew 24 concerning the 'second coming of Jesus' and the 'end of the age’, as well as all their fulfilled realities (fulfilment). Chairman Lee, who is over 90 years of age, insisted that the prophecies recorded in Matthew 24 have been fulfilled today, and that he is the messenger appointed by Jesus and commanded to testify and make known everything he has seen and heard firsthand at the location of the events promised in the Book of Revelation. In the words of Chairman Lee, “It is Jesus who sent me to testify these things to the churches. If I say this in a church, I might be beaten to death, but the truth must be told. I am the messenger whom Jesus has sent to feed and testify the entire content of the Book of Revelation to the churches.”

📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.
