[Cheonji Ilbo = Reporter Lee Ji-sol] Following the successful completion of the Online Bible Seminar by Chairman Man-hee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus), the leader of Matthew Tribe in Incheon, Mr. Cheon-seok Jeong, conducted an online seminar to an audience of 1,400 people on 15th August 2021.
While Chairman Man-hee Lee preached to pastors of the Korean Church, urging them to verify the fulfilled realities of the New Testament prophecies, and not to add or subtract from the prophecies recorded in the Book of Revelation, this sermon was entitled, 'Mr. Socrates - Is Heaven Real?'
Matthew Tribe leader used the hit song 'Tess Hyung!' by Korean singer Na Hoon-ah, that concerns humanity's unresolved mystery of the afterlife, to explain the Bible. In the song 'Tess-hyung!', Na Hoon-ah asks the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates, 'Why is the world like this? Why is life so hard?'
Matthew Tribe leader said, “The founder of Samsung, Byungchul Lee, raised the question shortly before his death concerning why God, if He truly loves us, would create man only for us to die.” He added, “In the face of death, everyone is equal.”
He also said, “The fact that the body of Qin Shi Huang (ancient Chinese Emperor) was mummified, following the defining customs of ancient Egypt, reflects humans innate desire to avoid death.”
He continued, “The common testimonies by those who have died and come back to life - that is, by those who have had a near-death and out-of-body experience - is that they passed through a dark tunnel and met a spiritual, or transcendent, being. The results of social science research suggests that, following such an experience, people begin to approach life with a different attitude than before; perhaps showing greater consideration for others, trust in oneself, importance on spiritual values or a thirst for knowledge.”
In this regard, Matthew Tribe leader said, “The afterlife, as explained by the five major religions of Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism, among others, differs.”
He emphasised, “The reason we can trust the Bible is because there are spiritual entities who make promises and keep these promises.”
Seong-hoon Kim (42, Samsan-dong, Bupyeong district, Incheon), who attended the online seminar of Matthew Tribe, said, “I was surprised by the vivid description of hell, the fiery lake where maggots do not even die."
He emphasised, “The reason we can trust the Bible is because there are spiritual entities who make promises and keep these promises.”
Seong-hoon Kim (42, Samsan-dong, Bupyeong district, Incheon), who attended the online seminar of Matthew Tribe, said, “I was surprised by the vivid description of hell, the fiery lake where maggots do not even die."
Jeong-jun Jeong (50, Bupyeong-dong, Bupyeong district, Incheon) said, “As a Christian, I've longed for heaven.”

Meanwhile, the Online Bible Seminar by Shincheonji Church of Jesus, that was held over the last two weeks, experienced great success with over 30,000 guests in attendance.
According to Shincheonji Church of Jesus, on the 14th August, about 14,000 people attended the Online Bible Seminar delivered by Chairman Man-hee Lee, who urged attendees to "Please confirm the fulfilled realities of the book of Revelation". The series of online Bible seminars, which was held on topics including 'The Harvest', experienced similar success, with a further 22,000 people in attendance. 1,000 pastors were counted as attendees at the main seminar delivered by Chairman Lee.
