📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.
First, let's find out what 'yin (印)' is.
'Yin' is a seal on which one's name is engraved. In this way, God's name is engraved on the seal of God, and as we see in John 1:1, God is the Word; so God's seal, that is, the seal that is engraved on people's hearts, is the Word. Moreover, in Haggai 2:23, God makes the shepherd chosen by God the seal of God, and the shepherd and promised Holy Spirit become one to educate and engrave the Word of God in the hearts of the believers, like a stamp, as written in Job 33:16.
So what does 'sealed' mean? To 'seal' means to conceal something so that it cannot be seen.
Jesus, who came according to the promise of the Old Testament, sealed and concealed the secrets of the kingdom of heaven in parables, and said in John 16:25 that he would reveal them at the appointed time. Then, let's examine the event concerning the sealing of the seven seals through the fulfilment of the book of Revelation, which is the time of the Lord's Second Coming.
When Revelation is fulfilled, Jesus explains the meaning of parable by using the spirits of the seven lamps in front of the throne in Revelation 4:5. Jesus opened the book of Revelation, which no one could interpret for roughly 2,000 years, and had the seven angels (messengers) of the tabernacle (church) of the seven golden lampstands promised in Revelation 1:20 teach the believers. However, in Revelation 2:4, these seven angels of the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands left Jesus, their first love, and had fellowship with the Nicolaitans who were destroying them, accepting their teachings, and walking on the path of betrayal. In Revelation 2:6, 14, 15, we see that these Nicolaitans are the beast with seven heads and ten horns, Satan, the devil, that came out of the sea and entered the tabernacle of heaven (the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands) in Revelation 13 to carry out destruction. They were false shepherds who were given authority by the dragon, Satan.
Therefore, as promised in Revelation 2:5, the lampstand was removed from them because they did not repent, and the spirits of the seven lamps left them. As a result, the seven messengers could no longer speak the truth as they were deprived of their teaching, authority and position due to the teachings of the Nicolaitans, the Destroyers. The shepherd chosen by God is a seal, so the event that caused the book to be sealed with seven seals was the event of the seven chosen shepherds being unable to testify the truth any longer.
How was this book sealed with seven seals revealed? 'Revelation' means to open and show. The prophecy, sealed in parables, is opened when fulfilment takes place, and the true meaning of the parable can be revealed.
When this book of God was sealed with seven seals, no one in heaven could know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven and no one could receive salvation. However, the seven Spirits of God that left the seven messengers - the seven golden lampstands - who betrayed came to new John, and it was new John who became the seal of God. Therefore, in Revelation 7, there is the creation of a new kingdom and new people where all the believers on earth will gather to meet new John and be sealed with the word of life to receive salvation.
In summary, the number 'seven' of the seven seals refers to the seven angels (messengers) of the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands who could no longer speak the truth.

"A Lamb stood, looking as if it had been slain, and has seven horns. The seven horns now refer to power, but the number seven is a perfect number. The seven eyes represent the Holy Spirit. Again, the number seven is a perfect number, so the Lord knows perfectly what is in the heavens, what is on the earth, and what is under the earth. The Lord has seven eyes."
