📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.
Today, the one who overcomes is the one who fought and defeated the Nicolaitans, that is, the group of the dragon defeated in the tabernacle of heaven, which is the location of Revelation chapters 2 and 3 and Revelation chapters 12 and 13. To write the name of God, the name of the city of God, the new Jerusalem, and the new name of Jesus on the one who overcomes means that God, the New Jerusalem, and Jesus only come to the one who overcomes, and make him their dwelling.
Let's take a step-by-step look through the Bible to understand why. Firstly, a temple is a holy house where God is served and worshipped. In the time of the Old Testament, the actual building was called a tabernacle, but after the first coming, Jesus, who was with God, called himself a 'temple', and the believers of Jesus were also called temples. The reason is that, according to Ephesians 2:20 and on, Jesus is the cornerstone and the believers who build on the foundation of the apostles and prophets become temples of God.
In the text, this temple that Jesus promised at the second coming of the Lord is the temple that God and Jesus promised in Revelation 15:5 - that is, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony. This temple is the promised temple that Jesus even named in advance roughly 2,000 years ago. There are many church names in the world, but the only temple Jesus promised and named is the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony. As promised in the Bible, this temple appears at the time of the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation and is a place where all nations come to worship.
Let's take a closer look at the one who overcomes, who becomes the pillar of the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, the temple of God, at the Second Coming of the Lord. The book of Revelation, which records the events of the Lord's Second Coming, details the events of betrayal, destruction, and salvation.
These three entities all appear in the tabernacle of heaven, which is the location of Revelation's fulfilment, as seen in Revelation 12. In this one place, there is a woman clothed with the sun, a red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, and a child born of this woman clothed with the sun. This woman is a shepherd who leads the tabernacle, and the red dragon is the group of destroyers who came into the tabernacle to destroy the tabernacle that broke the covenant with God.
Therefore, this is the place of salvation today, where those who have overcome are gathered, and it is the only temple that can testify to the events of Revelation. The one who overcomes is the promised shepherd upon whom the name of God, the name of the new Jerusalem in the spiritual realm, and the new name of Jesus are written.
From a physical point of view, in the same way that the name of a householder is written on the doorplate of a house, writing the name of God, the name of the New Jerusalem, and the new name of Jesus on the one who overcomes means that God, the New Jerusalem, and Jesus will come together and make the one who overcomes their home.
Let's summarise today's lecture. To make someone a pillar in the temple of God means to be entrusted with a critical role in the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, which will never fall because God is with this person. According to the promise, God, Jesus, and the kingdom of heaven are with the one who overcomes who has been entrusted with this heavy duty. About 2,000 years ago, the words of Jesus were the words of God speaking through Jesus.
Today, the pastor of new heaven and new earth also receives and eats the revealed word, and the Spirit of Jesus is with him to testify to the churches about the greatest truth of mankind. I hope that you will come to Shincheonji, to the one who overcomes, who is the pillar of God's temple and the promised shepherd, belong to the 12 tribes, build the kingdom God's temple together, and attain the hope of heaven and eternal life.

"Pillars must stand upright. The leader of this country must stand upright. I pray that our faith today will also become a strong pillar of the church, standing strong with the right faith.
Revelation 3:12 says that the name of the New Jerusalem and 'my new name' will be written on it. But what are the words recorded in the book of Revelation? The names of those who have devoted themselves to the church will be written on this pillar (pointing to the literal pillar of the church) and will have their names engraved on it. May your beautiful name be engraved upon the beautiful marble pillar of God."
