📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.
The names of people and places recorded in the Book of Revelation are parables using the actual names of people and places of the Old Testament and of the first coming (Hos. 12:10, Revelation 11:8). The reason Jesus spoke in parables is because it concerns the secrets of heaven. Jesus said that he would reveal these mysteries at an appointed time, and today he is revealing the secrets of the kingdom of heaven through the promised pastor of Shincheonji.
The church of Thyatira in Asia Minor 2000 years ago was used figuratively as the name of one of the seven churches in Revelation 2. The actual church of Thyatira has already been demolished and only traces remain. Therefore, the events of the book of Revelation never take place there. It was a mystery using the names of people and places of that time to proclaim the appearance of the tabernacle (church) of the seven stars (seven angels) and the seven golden lampstands, and the beginning of the fulfilment of the book of Revelation at the time of the Second Coming. Like John the Baptist, who came as the light at the beginning of Jesus' first coming, this place is heaven's tabernacle which made a covenant with God and appeared in fulfilment of the prophecy to mark the beginning of the second coming. In Revelation, there are four entities that appear in fulfilment according to their order.
At that time, Jesus chose a shepherd who was present at the scene and had the shepherd deliver letters of warning to the seven messengers who betrayed, telling them that if they repented, fought and were victorious over the enemy, they would be blessed. However, because they did not repent, they were completely destroyed by Satan's group. The place where the events of Revelation 1, 2, 3, 12, and 13 are fulfilled is the same tabernacle (church) of the seven stars and the seven golden lampstands where the seven stars had worked.
In Revelation 2, the woman Jezebel and the Nicolaitans of Satan are referred to as the beast with seven heads and ten horns, which is the group of the dragon, in Revelation chapters 13 and 12, and the seven heads and ten horns which the Prostitute rides in Revelation chapter 17.
Just like Jezebel in the Old Testament, the prostitute Jezebel of today is a false shepherd who invaded the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands that prepared the way and made the shepherds and congregation commit (spiritual) adultery by feeding them lies sacrificed to spiritual idols that killed their spirits.
At that time, and in accordance with the command of Jesus, the promised pastor sees, hears, and bears witness to the reality of the betrayers, destroyers, and saviour in Revelation 2, 3, 12, and 13. Notably, God creates a new spiritual nation, the 12 tribes of Israel, by fighting and overcoming (defeating) the Prostitute, the group of the dragon, and the beast with seven heads and ten horns, with the blood of the lamb and the words of testimony. This place is Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, which was established through the Promised Shepherd, who is the messenger of Jesus today.
In summary, the woman Jezebel of Revelation 2 is a woman who is likened to Jezebel of the Old Testament, and it refers to a false shepherd belonging to the devil who acts like the actual Jezebel when the book of Revelation is fulfilled. Only the promised pastor of Shincheonji, who saw and heard firsthand all the events in the book of Revelation, can testify to this. To speak one's own interpretation wilfully, without witnessing the fulfilment, is the wine of adultery that is given by the devil.
Pastor, Presbyterian Church
"Jezebel was a thorough influencer of Ahab (king). All the controls were made from behind. Jezebel was just Ahab's wife, a gentile woman, yet the real power resided with Jezebel. But where was it happening inside?
It was created and took place within the church of Thyatira. The general view among many theologians is that this must have been a woman in the position of the wife of the bishop of Thyatira. Who is the head pastor? It was his wife."
