“You are heroes of peace who will shine forever. Your sacrifices for the protection of this country will forever go down in posterity.

The Shincheonji Volunteer Group Western Busan Branch held a photo-taking activity named 'Heroes of Peace Who Will Shine Forever' at the Saha District Veterans' Hall from the 7th to the 8th. This activity was planned to honour the sacrifices and hard work of veterans of the Korean War and the Vietnam War. A volunteer who participated in the activity said the above and expressed their deep respect and gratitude to the heroes of peace.

The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs presented new uniforms to veterans of the Korean War in 2023 to mark the 70th anniversary of the armistice and the 60th anniversary of the Vietnam War in 2024, and this activity was designed to give dignified photos to the recipients of the new uniforms.

The Western Busan Branch captured the smiles and precious moments of seniors with professional photographers and volunteers for two days. About 100 national benefactors from 9 organisations under the Saha District Veterans' Association participated in this volunteer activity and received wonderful photos.

Another volunteer said, “Through conversations with the veterans, I was reminded once again why South Korea is what it is today.”

Meanwhile, the Western Busan Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group plans to hold a meaningful event to commemorate the Patriots and Veterans Month in June this year.
