“Thank you for taking care of us despite your busy schedule. It's not easy for our members to clean up given their age, but thanks to you, the office is now clean.”
On the 22nd, the Eastern Incheon Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group visited the Jung District Branch of the Vietnam War Veterans' Association and conducted a spring cleaning service for the office. Jeong-sik Kim, the head of the Jung District Branch of the Vietnam War Veterans' Association, expressed his gratitude to the members of the Eastern Incheon Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group, and said the above.
The members helped to improve the sanitary environment by organising waste and cleaning the floor and lavatories, and helped to create a clean space.
Eun-young Lee (56, female), who participated in the volunteer work that day, said, “I cleaned with all my heart, thinking that we exist today because of the veterans of the Vietnam War,” and “After volunteering, listening to the veterans’ stories was an opportunity to realise once again the horrors of war and the value and necessity of peace.”
Meanwhile, with love and peace as its basic spirit, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group carries out global social contribution projects in various fields, including the environment, veterans affairs, disabled sector, public interest and culture, transcending religion, race and national borders.
