Love Flower Festival 'Life Bus 9010' performance held at Shincheonji Gwangju Church on the 15th

As the number of domestic cultural festivals in Korea decreases in winter due to the cold - with only one event held between December 2024 and February 2025 -the Love Flower Festival 'Life Bus 9010' held at the Shincheonji Gwangju Church on the 15th brought vitality to the performing arts world.

Inspired by the theme of the transience and futility of life, the 'Life Bus 9010' adopts Psalm 90:10 of the Bible as its motif, making the audience reflect on the meaning of life.

On that day, and to an audience of 2000 citizens, the journey of life was portrayed through various musical pieces centred on a story of love between a man and a woman. The life bus passed through the stations of youth, turbulence, friendships and intimacy, before arriving at the death of the husband. At that point, the audience members each looked back on their own lives and shed tears.

In the last scene of the performance, the driver asked a question about life and death, “How was our life on the Life Bus 9010?” He then asked, “If there was another bus that would lead you to true happiness, would you transfer?” leaving a deep impression.

After the performance, the presider told the visitors, “The content of 'Life Bus 9010' is a story about us all, containing the birth, ageing, sickness, and death, joys and sorrows of life.” He continued, “For those of us who live under God’s providence, there will definitely be an opportunity to find God. I hope you will seize that opportunity.”
