“We worked in the bitter cold today. It was physically tough, and I had trouble breathing, but it was rewarding to clear the snow for the residents.”

In response to heavy snowfall in the Guri-Namyangju region that left roads and pavements covered in snow and frozen ice, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Guri-Namyangju Branch formed an emergency environmental disaster team, comprised of 30 volunteers, to swiftly carry out snow removal work and spread sand around Gangsan Tower (800m circumference) for the safety of residents. Volunteer Geun-su Choi (63, male) expressed his determination above.

Young-hwan Kim (67, male), who was watching from a nearby store, said, “I’m really grateful as a local resident that they are clearing the snow for me,” and “I think I can go out with peace of mind now.”

Meanwhile, this activity was carried out as part of Shincheonji Volunteer Group's nationwide Green Nature' campaign, which aims to preserve a beautiful and clean natural environment for posterity.
