Shincheonji Church of Jesus consistently opens its doors to the public to host community benefitting events and foster deeper ties with communities throughout South Korea.
Amid a harsh cold wave that continues to sweep across the country, the 'Songha Health Expo,' a healing event for the physical and mental health of citizens, was held at the Shincheonji Songha Church on the 8th.
The Expo was designed as a place for intergenerational communication and healing through cultural performances and various experiences on the theme of health and mind.
In his opening remarks, the presider said, “We cannot avoid sickness and experiencing misfortune as we live, but I hope this will be a time to gain the strength of a strong mind to overcome such things.”
Various musical and drama performances not only enabled the audience to relax their tense minds and bodies and to sit back in comfort, but also depicted the key concerns of each generation, including worries about employment and the future for those in their 20s, the difficulties between parent and child that sometimes arise among the middle-aged population, and the lack of self-love among fathers and husbands who are busy fulfil their respective roles.
Finally, the concerns of those in their 70s were introduced through a video depicting the process of death. The video left a marked impression on the audience, making them reflect on where the true value of life lies.
