“I feel light and content after getting my hair done nicely and even getting a hand massage. I was even happier to have the opportunity to talk to the volunteers.”

On the 26th, the Jecheon branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group operated a hair and beauty service and hand massage experience booth for senior citizens at veterans’ organisations in the Jecheon area. A senior citizen and recipient of the service said the above.

The Jecheon branch conducts a ‘Togetherness’ volunteer activity once a month with members of local veterans’ organisations with the purpose of “going together.”

On this day, professional hairdressing volunteers participated in the volunteer activity and helped the elderly regain their confidence and improve their health and self-esteem by cutting their hair in the style they wanted.

Moreover, through the hand massage experience, participants learned how to take care of their hands and feet, and had warm interactions with the volunteers.
