“I learned various independent exercises that even people with less mobility can do. I’m really grateful that I was shown them.”

On the 15th, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Gwangmyeong Branch held a 'Warmth-Sharing Health Lecture' training session at the office of the Gwangmyeong City Association of People with Disabilities, which supports people with disabilities to live independently. A senior citizen who participated in the health lecture said the above.

Participants experienced various health techniques to do with the heart, as well as a 'talent donation' (pro bono) hand massage service to help develop small muscles.

Another participant, Ms. Anyanghee Ahn (52, female), said, “I hope that this type of education will continue so that many people, not just people with disabilities, can maintain their health in an ageing society.”

Meanwhile, this lecture was held as part of Shincheonji Volunteer Group's regular volunteer service, 'Pinky Promise', which was established to break down the walls of prejudice against people with disabilities and establish open communication. The campaign name contains the meaning that in the same way the little finger (pinky) is the smallest of the hand - yet is essential for the functioning of one's hand and body - so too people with disabilities are citizens who play an equally important role in society.
