More recently, about 1,000 members of 'We Are One' participated in a charity marathon, raised and donated a total of 11.4 million Korean won (c.£43,000).

We Are One members participated in the '10th Charity Marathon' held at Yeouido Han River Park in Seoul on the 9th. The event was held as part of a campaign to spread a culture of giving.

Groups of 30 competing participants were matched with one beneficiary, and the entire proceeds were given as a scholarship for the benefit of children. A total of 1140 people participated in the 'We Are “Run”' group, a meeting of members who like running in We Are One. They completed a half marathon (21km), 10K, and 5K run.

The scholarship of 11.4 million KRW, which was raised entirely through the marathon, will be entirely used for children in low-income households. We Are One participated in the 10th Charity Marathon as an official sponsor and held a pre-marathon performance to lift the mood of runners and spectators alike.

Min-chang Kim, who completed the 10km marathon, said, “I prepared whenever I had time, and I ran with the goal of completing the race rather than setting a record. It was very difficult, but I am happy that I finished.”

Seung-min Son, head of We Are Run, said, “We Are One is doing 'We Are Run' to promote a 'running life' with young people who feel that they have been living 'life at a standstill' due to the obstacles in education, employment training, and income during the COVID-19 era.” He said, “We ran for these goals rather than ranking, and participated in the cause to deliver scholarships to neighbours in need.”
