Shincheonji Chairman Man-hee Lee attends 'Shincheonji Bible Seminar: Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation'
“Have the pastors added to or subtracted from the Book of Revelation? Pastors, have you mastered Revelation?”
Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus) Chairman Man-hee Lee stressed these words at the Shincheonji Bible Seminar on the 'Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation' held at Grand Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul on the 22nd, and highlighted the reality that Christianity is adding to or subtracting from the Book of Revelation.
Shincheonji Church of Jesus continues to hold a number of seminars lecturing on the entire 66 books of the Bible, especially the Book of Revelation, and on a range of key life topics, such as the solution to the cyclical problem of birth, ageing, sickness and death according to the biblical promise.
Most recently, on the 22nd, Chairman Lee said during the lecture in Seoul, “It is recorded that if you add to or subtract from the words of the Book of Revelation, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven and will be cursed”, and stressed, “We should not ignore these words.”
Shincheonji Church of Jesus began a nationwide tour of Korea on that day, starting in Seoul, followed by Busan on the 30th, Daejeon on the 6th May, and other cities thereafter.
The principal target of the numerous Shincheonji Open Bible seminars is 'domestic pastors'. It is no small feat that more than 1000 ministers, including pastors, preachers, and evangelists gathered in person on the 22nd to attend the public lecture on the Bible given by Shincheonji Church of Jesus in light of the current unrest within the religious community in Korea. It was also reported that the number of pastors who watched the Open Bible Seminar through live online broadcasting was also quite high.
This all reflects a growing interest among pastors and churches both in Korea and overseas in the teachings of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, especially on the four Gospels and the prophecies and fulfilment of the Book of Revelation.
In fact, as of March, 198 churches in Korea and 5,804 churches in 78 overseas countries signed MOUs with Shincheonji to deliver Shincheonji's teachings on Revelation to their own congregations. Moreover, 258 churches have signed an MOU to join Shincheonji and changed the signboard of their churches to the name Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
The book of Revelation presents a 'challenge' in the religious world, as most of Revelation is recorded in figurative language (metaphors) that are difficult to understand and cannot be easily interpreted. Even the interpretations among well-known pastors are very different, adding to the confusion among believers.
Regarding this, Chairman Lee asserted, “The words of the Book of Revelation prophesied by God can only be understood when God opens them.”
“The Book of Revelation has been fulfilled today, and Shincheonji is testifying to the reality that has appeared. I know the names and faces of the seven stars in Revelation chapter 1 and the group of the Nicolaitans.”
On that day, Chairman Lee asked, “Why do Christians today have to go to the Temple promised in Revelation 15?” “What are Satan’s teachings and the food given by Satan's Nicolaitans in Revelation 2?” “What happens after the harvest in Revelation 14?” He also directly asked the pastors in attendance, “Where do God and Heaven in Revelation 21 descend?”
Emphasising the importance of clearly knowing and keeping the promise given by Jesus, that is, the fulfilment of Revelation recorded in the Bible, Chairman Lee said, “The Book of Revelation is a book of prophecy that must fulfil and appear in reality. I am here to tell you about what has been fulfilled.”
Chairman Lee said, “It is said that if you add or subtract from Revelation, you will be cursed, so church leaders must first understand for themselves and then inform their congregants correctly.” At the lecture, applause broke out along with the sound of 'Amen!'
Gi-won Lee, leader of John Tribe, who served as the host of the Open Bible Seminar, explained, “Many people are actually flocking to Shincheonji.”
How did the pastors in attendance respond to the Open Bible Seminar in light of the prejudices towards Shincheonji Church? The pastors in attendance were positively taken aback by the testimony on the Book of Revelation delivered by Chairman Man-hee Lee.
Pastor A, a retired pastor of the Full Gospel Church, said, “I received grace because he (Chairman) testified the Bible exactly as it is.”
Asking for anonymity out of concern for the Protestant community, he emphasised, “When most pastors teach the Bible, they only teach some part of the Bible that is necessary at that time, so it was most impressive that (Chairman Lee) testified from beginning to end.”
Pastor B, in his 80s, who revealed that he was from the Baptist Church, said, “If you look at this seminar and the Chairman from a macro perspective, you can clearly see that God is at work.”
