π°The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.
To understand this, let's look at the time of Moses. About 3,500 years ago, Moses took the Israelites out of captivity in Egypt and then used his staff to perform various signs and wonders and rule over the people of Israel. In this way, as seen in the main reference, the one who overcomes also receives an iron sceptre - from Jesus - to rule all nations. If the staff of Moses showed temporary authority to rule, the iron sceptre in the main reference represents the eternal authority to rule that God gave to Jesus.
The signs and wonders that Moses performed in those days was not in the staff that Moses carried, but in God who gave him this power. Therefore, just as the Word is with God, those who have the Word have power, and those who have the Word can create and rule people's hearts with the Word that God has given them. Therefore, the meaning in the main reference that the one who overcomes will rule all nations with an iron sceptre means that he rules all nations with the Word of God, not with an actual iron sceptre.
Let's find out who the one who overcomes is who receives the iron sceptre from Jesus at the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation, which is the time of the Lord's Second Coming.
This one who overcomes is the one who fought and overcame (defeated) the group of the dragon - that is, the Nicolaitans who belonged to Satan - in Revelation 13 and 12. The first thing to note is that this one who overcomes is not Jesus. Just as God gave Jesus the authority of the iron sceptre to rule 2000 years ago, Jesus also gives this iron sceptre to the one who overcomes. What iron sceptre did the one who overcomes receive according to the promise? The right to rule and to receive the kingship, which is the wisdom and authority to rule all nations with the word of revelation.
Who should win? When, where, and with whom? The events fulfil at the time of the Second Coming of the Lord, which is the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation. At this time, like John the Baptist who prepared the way for the Lord 2000 years ago, the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands and its seven messengers came to prepare the way, announcing the beginning of the second coming of the Lord. Then, Satan's destroyer-like Nicolaitans entered this tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands, fed them food sacrificed to idols and caused them to commit (spiritual) adultery. It is promised that the authority of the iron sceptre is given to those who fight and overcome Satan's Nicolaitans in the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands.
However, in Revelation 12, it is written that a child born to a woman clothed with the sun, moon and stars in the tabernacle of heaven will become a man who will rule all nations with an iron sceptre. As recorded in Revelation 12, receiving this iron sceptre from Jesus in order to rule all nations occurs only after fighting and overcoming Satan's Nicolaitans, the group of the dragon in Revelation 12.
Therefore, the person who overcomes must overcome Satan's Nicolaitans, whose reality is the beast with seven heads and ten horns, the dragon's (Satan's) pastors who entered the tabernacle of heaven in Revelation chapters 13 and 12 and destroyed the chosen people who betrayed.
What is the evidence that the promised shepherd (pastor) of the Bible, the one who overcomes, has appeared today? The creation of the 12 tribes is the evidence. The one who overcomes bears witness to the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation according to the promise of the Bible, and as written in Revelation chapters 7 and 14, harvests and seals these people to create the 12 tribes, which is the new kingdom and new people of God. The reality of these 12 tribes is the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony in Revelation chapter 15 that was established by the one who overcame (together with his brothers) the beast in Revelation 12. This is the promised temple where all nations will come and worship the Lord; it is Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony. The reason all nations must go there to worship is because God is with these people. The promised shepherd (pastor) of Shincheonji is fulfilling the work of peace with God and Jesus, has mastered the Bible and is delivering the word of revelation not only in Korea, but throughout the world. As a result, people from all over the world are flocking to Shincheonji, the land of peace. This is the evidence that the promised pastor of Shincheonji is ruling all nations, having received the iron sceptre according to the promise of Jesus.
Pastor A, Presbyterian Church
"He says that he will dash everything to pieces with the power and authority given to him through this iron rod. It can defeat all diseases so that everything can get better with the power of this iron rod. Do you have any problems? Break them. Do you have pain? Break it."
"It's about the power of the iron rod. How does God work with this iron rod? I believe that God will give us power to break everything today. I'll let you turn like a windmill, just roll like one. Snakes will leave you when you roll (Pastor B stands up, singing as he spins)"
