“It is time to reaffirm our original intention of providing a service to citizens and the local community.”

An official from the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Jinhae Branch who participated in the environmental clean-up service 'Green Nature' in the area by the Sokcheon Cruise Ship Terminal on the 25th, said this.

This activity is part of Shincheonji Volunteer Group's regular 'Green Nature' campaign, which aims to preserve a beautiful and clean natural environment for posterity.

On this day, around 40 volunteers participated in the cleanup activities within a 300m area from the cruise ship pier, and collected a total of about 900 litres of waste.

Previously, in 2023, the Jinhae branch had carried out a campaign in the area to reduce marine waste, and regularly and intensively cleaned up the area for a year. However, visiting the wharf for the first time in about a year, the Jinhae branch discovered all kinds of marine waste and litter that had accumulated over the year, and embarked on this clean-up activity to create a clean and pleasant environment once again.

On the 25th, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Jinhae Branch conducted an environmental clean-up volunteer activity called 'Green Nature' at the Sokcheon Cruise Ship Terminal. Volunteers are collecting litter near the pier.
The Jinhae branch intends to continue to regularly engage in activities to create clean public spaces for citizens and the local community.

Meanwhile, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group is active in 77 branches in South Korea and has 350,000 members in 12 regions including Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, Gangwon, Daejeon, Busan, Chungcheong, Gyeongsang, Jeolla, and Jeju.

With love and peace as its basic spirit, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group carries out global social contribution projects in various fields, including the environment, veterans affairs, disabled sector, public interest and culture, transcending religion, race and national borders.
