On the 22nd, in celebration of Seollal (Korean Lunar New Year), the Shincheonji Daejeon Church visited 16 senior centres in the Yongmun and Tanbang neighbourhoods and gave them bananas as a gift to express their wishes for good health

“Filial piety is the beginning and foundation of faith. We sincerely hope that the older population in the region will not be left out and will enjoy the holidays in good health.”

With such a mindset expressed by the Shincheonji Daejeon Church, its church members shared its heart with the older population within the region in the lead up to the Korean Lunar New Year (Seollal) and visited 16 senior centres in the neighbourhoods of Yongmu and Tanbang on the 22nd.

The church members presented them with bananas as an expression of their wish for good health. Bananas help strengthen the immune system and digestive health, and their rich nutrients are effective in maintaining one's health in older age.

One senior citizen at the centre said, “These continuous visits are a great comfort to the lonely elderly and motivate them to stay healthy.”

Meanwhile, since 2014, the Shincheonji Daejeon Church has been visiting senior centres near the church every year to deliver gifts and check on the wellbeing of the older population.
