Shincheonji Volunteer Group Daegu Branch Shares Rice Cake Soup with Korean War Veterans
“I remember the moment when I went to war with my mother when I was 16 and cried a lot. I feel proud that I survived by giving my life for my country, and I am grateful for this recognition.”
On the 17th, the Daegu branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group held their 'Pink Cloth' service for 25 members of the Korean War Veterans' Association and the Defoliant Veterans' Association of Korea (Daegu branches). Gyu-dong Cho, the head of the Korean War Veterans' Association, said this.
The 'Pink Cloth' is a side dish sharing activity of Shincheonji Volunteer Group that is carried out with the aim of helping low-income households and the senior residents in the region not have to worry about meals.
On that day, the Daegu branch delivered four types of homemade side dishes.
Meanwhile, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group is committed to supporting Veterans' Associations in order to spread a culture of welfare for veterans.
