“Regardless of scientific advancement, if someone does not donate blood, there can be no blood transfusion and lives will be lost. That is why donating blood is the most important and best way to save lives. Therefore, we are grateful to Shincheonji Church of Jesus that, despite the many challenges, you participated in blood donation activities driven by your religious beliefs and values.”
An official of the Busan Blood Centre of the Korean Red Cross who witnessed the life-giving blood donation campaign, ‘Sharing Love through Blood Donation’, held by the Busan Church of the Busan James Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereinafter referred to as Shincheonji Busan Church) on the 26th, said this.
The recent respiratory disease epidemic and the Lunar New Year holiday period have put a red light on blood supply. Accordingly, the Shincheonji Busan Church planned this campaign at the request of the Busan Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross.
This campaign was carried out through a bloodmobile, and more than 10 people of all ages and genders participated every hour from 10am to 4pm. A total of 80 people participated in the campaign that day, and 60 of them donated blood.
Tae-jun Son (male, 20s), a church congregant who participated in the blood donation that day, said, “I will continue to participate in blood donations so that I can have a positive influence on the world in the future.”
An official from the Shincheonji Busan Church said, “We will continue to create a blood donation culture and campaign in which people of all ages and genders can participate in sharing life.”
