“Environmental clean-up activities are absolutely necessary for a pleasant life and the health of residents.”
With this belief expressed by the Deputy Director of the Eastern Busan Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group, volunteers gathered their hearts and carried out an environmental clean-up activity on the 18th in the Beomil-dong area of Dong District, Busan.
On that day, 25 volunteers cleaned up a 1.5km section from the Andrew Tribe Training Centre to Pyeonghwa Market. The volunteers collected litter and fallen leaves left on the streets and around bus stops, despite the cold weather.
A passerby who witnessed the volunteer activity said, “I'm really glad to see the streets clean” and “I hope this kind of activity continues.”
Following the volunteer activity, the Deputy Director said, “I hope that citizens will also participate in environmental clean-up with the same mindset.”
Meanwhile, this activity is part of the regular 'Green Nature' campaign carried out by Shincheonji Volunteer Group, and aims to preserve a beautiful and clean nature and environment for posterity.
