Where is the 'East' from which the Angel Comes Up in Revelation 7?
📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.

God has hidden the secrets of the kingdom of heaven in parables, but said that He would reveal them at the appointed time. The true meaning of the book of Revelation can be clearly known through the promised pastor of new heaven and new earth who has seen and heard the fulfilment of today's events at their location.
In Psalm 84:11, God is figuratively likened to the sun, and in John 1:1-4, God's word is said to be the light of life. Just as the sun shines it light and gives life to all creation, so God gives life to all souls with the light of His word. God is likened to the sun.

Therefore, when the sun rises in Revelation 7, it does not refer to the literal east, but to the place where the light of the word begins to shine - the place where God, who is like the sun, is. This can also be found in the Old Testament prophecies that foretold the time of the first coming.
In Malachi 4:2, it is said that the 'Sun of righteousness' will rise and shine with rays of healing, and in Isaiah 9:2 that the people who walk in darkness will see a great light. Looking at the content of Matthew 4:12-16, it is clear that this prophecy was fulfilled by Jesus, whom God was with at the first coming, and the light of truth was preached through Jesus in John 1:5.
Therefore, when God came to Jesus at the first coming, the prophecy of the Old Testament was fulfilled and the place where he began to testify the word of truth became the location of the spiritual sunrise - that is, the 'east'.
Likewise, at the time of the Second Coming when the Book of Revelation is fulfilled, there is a place where God appears and the work of light begins.
Therefore, when God came to Jesus at the first coming, the prophecy of the Old Testament was fulfilled and the place where he began to testify the word of truth became the location of the spiritual sunrise - that is, the 'east'.

The fulfilment of the book of Revelation begins with the appearance of one of the three secrets recorded in the book of Revelation - the seven stars, the seven angels and the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands, the Tabernacle Temple. However, the seven messengers who were chosen by Jesus and worked, betrayed as in Revelation 2~3, and the destroyer Satan and the Nicolaitans invaded the tabernacle.
Jesus then chose a shepherd-like pastor to send letters to the seven messengers who betrayed, urging them to repent, fight and defeat the group of the enemy Satan.
However, because they did not repent, Jesus judged the seven messengers who betrayed and the Tabernacle Temple as recorded in Revelation 6. As a result, the sun, moon and stars, who represent the chosen people of heaven's tabernacle, darkened and fell, and there was an event of destruction marking the beginning of spiritual night.
After these events, and as prophesied in Revelation 7, the angel who came up from the east, where the sun rises, sealed God's servants to create God's new kingdom and new people. Therefore in Revelation 7, after the chosen people who betrayed - who were likened to the sun and moon in the sky - were judged and destroyed, marking spiritual night, the sun rose. God and Jesusare together, as seen in Revelation 3:12. The 'east' where the sun rises refers to the place where God's new work has begun with the fulfilment (fulfilled reality) of the word of revelation through the light that is the promised pastor, the one who overcomes.
In summary, when the sun rises in Revelation 7, it does not refer to a specific geographical location, but to the place where the era of spiritual darkness void of the Word recedes and the light of life - that is, the light of the Word - shines to usher in the new era of God. After the first coming of Jesus, God sowed the seed of the gospel all over the world, and today at the second coming, has harvested wheat-like firstfruits (believers) who are born of the seed of the word to make them into a new kingdom and new people. The location of this new creation is spiritual Mount Zion, where the sealed 144,000 of God gather, as is prophesied in Revelation 14:1–3.
The event of sealing in Revelation chapter 7 is taking place today at Shincheonji in Gwacheon city, Gyeonggi province, Republic of Korea. I pray that you will verify this for yourself, come and be sealed in order to become part of the new kingdom and new people of Revelation 7.
