The Masan Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group, led by Branch Manager Seong-bok Jo, honoured 59 national merit recipients during June’s Month of Veterans by presenting commemorative framed portraits and summer care kits.

As part of its “Wise Summer” event, the branch visited local veterans’ organisations, including the Masan Chapter of the Gyeongnam Branch of the Defoliant Veterans' Association of Korea and the Masan Chapter of the Gyeongnam Branch of the Korea Association of Disabled Veterans.

The summer kits included portable fans, bamboo salt candy, and other daily necessities. The branch also presented framed portraits made from photographs taken the previous month, bringing smiles and laughter to the recipients.

Sam-sik Ha, 80, chairman of the Masan branch of the Defoliant Veterans' Association of Korea, said, “I hope people will remember those who sacrificed for the country and never forget their contributions.”

In recognition of its continued volunteer work supporting veterans, the Masan Branch also received a plaque of appreciation from the Defoliant Veterans' Association of Korea.

Branch Manager Seong-bok Jo said, “The peace and freedom we enjoy today are possible because of the noble sacrifices of those who dedicated themselves to our nation. We will continue working together to foster a culture of gratitude and respect for national merit recipients and their families.”
