The Shincheonji Volunteer Group Asan Branch carried out volunteer activities in Asan and Yesan to honour the sacrifices and dedication of war veterans.

On the 11th, volunteers provided hair and beauty services at Asan Veterans Hall before conducting the “Let Nature Be Green” environmental cleanup at Chungnyeongsa Temple and Korean War Veterans Memorial sites in Yesan.

Around 20 volunteers removed weeds, leaves, and debris, collecting approximately 4800 litres of waste. They also visited three veterans’ organisations and delivered 80 gift boxes containing traditional snacks and keyrings as a gesture of appreciation to the Veterans Hall. Volunteers also spent time listening to veterans’ stories and experiences of serving their country.

“We were deeply moved and proud to see the younger generation remembering and honouring our veterans through volunteer service,” said a Veterans Hall official. “We are the ones who should be expressing our gratitude, yet they went above and beyond by bringing us thoughtful gifts. We are truly grateful for their kindness.”

An Asan Branch official said, “We will continue honouring the sacrifices of war veterans while promoting patriotism and the value of peace through ongoing community service.”
