Shincheonji Volunteer Group, Gangdong-Songpa Branches, conduct ‘The More the Better’ Initiative
[Cheonji Ilbo = Reporter Ji-min Ryu] On the 19th, the Gangdong-Songpa branches of Shincheonji Volunteer Group installed a booth for the 'The More the Better' campaign near Exit 3 of Gangdong Station on Seoul Subway Line 5.
'The More the Better' ('Dadaikseon') community initiative is a programme designed to bring emotional support, joy and hope to neighbours in need through the donation of 'companion plants' carefully cultivated by local volunteers for the purpose of environmental purification.
A participant of this voluntary campaign is expected to grow purification plants over the course of a month for the purpose of donating the plant, accompanied by a message of hope, to individuals or groups in need of horticultural treatment or ecological education.
The Gangdong-Songpa branches of Shincheonji Volunteer Group have been operating booths for its campaign every Monday since the 8th of August, and from this day on, they have prepared chrysanthemums in time for the autumn season.
An official from the Gangdong-Songpa branches of Shincheonji Volunteer Group said, “This volunteerism is for the purpose of growing and sharing plants and for finding emotional stability together.”
