Shincheonji Bible Seminar successfully completed in Gwangju, “I feel like I've been given new life”
The word from Shincheonji has awakened the hearts of pastors. Following the success of the Shincheonji Bible Seminar on the Book of Revelation held in the Korean cities of Seoul, Busan, Daejeon, and Incheon with the attendance of 1500 domestic pastors and 14,000 believers, Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus) delivered the fifth in-person lecture in the city of Gwangju on 3rd June.
Prior to the Gwangju lecture, Jung-woo Lee, who leads Peter tribe, said that the Book of Revelation is a very important book that fulfils God's 6000-year purpose and our hopes, and he introduced Chairman ManHee Lee as the "promised pastor."

“As recorded in Revelation 22:8 and 16, when Jesus fulfilled the Book of Revelation, there is a witness who saw and heard its fulfilled reality by his side, and this person was instructed by Jesus to tell the churches what was seen and heard. This person is the only promised pastor of the New Testament. What Chairman ManHee Lee wants is not just for people to come to Shincheonji, but to study and check for themselves. What he wants is for you to know and confirm for yourselves that the Book of Revelation is being fulfilled today.”
The Honam region in Gwangju has a high proportion of Christians and the enthusiasm for the Shincheonji Bible Seminar delivered by Shincheonji Church of Jesus has spread like wildfire among pastors. When Chairman Lee stepped onto the stage, he was given a resounding round of applause in gratitude for his visit to the Honam region.
In front of the public, Chairman ManHee Lee summarised and testified the Book of Revelation from chapters 1 to 22, and repeatedly emphasised that the Book of Revelation should not be added to or subtracted from.

“If you really desire heaven and eternal life, and if you are listening to these words, then won't you want to know the truth and believe in it fully? Does your church, which has come here today, have its name recorded in the Book of Revelation? It says in Revelation that one shouldn't add or subtract, then why did you add or subtract? Are you saying that the names recorded in the Book of Revelation are fake? Also, if you took a test on the Book of Revelation, would you score a perfect result? It says you shouldn't add or subtract even one thing. Are you confident? Do you think you can be saved just by shouting at people?”
In addition, Chairman Lee asked pastors in attendance to stop carrying out a life of faith out of formality and return to a life of faith centred on the words of the Bible.

“Everyone, we came to faith because of Jesus. Also, we believe in the words of Jesus and the words of God. If that is the case, let's go back to that kind of faith that we all know and have touched. As written in Daniel chapter 12, it was said that many will go here and there to increase knowledge. Shouldn't we go back and forth, communicate and ask each other in order to gain understanding of what we do not know? Let's have true faith, go to heaven, be with God and live together in heaven.”
Pastors were attentively listening and writing down the contents of the lecture.
After the lecture, when asked if they would like to carry out a study of the Book of Revelation, numerous audience members raised their hands in response and expressed their willingness to learn.
(Interview: Pastor)
“General church pastors cannot interpret the Book of Revelation. However, Shincheonji is able to interpret the Book of Revelation, so I think that its teaching is valid and it's now spreading near and far. The people who work for Shincheonji are always pure and have good manners, and in that respect, they have great strengths. Shouldn't the many churches take note? Chairman ManHee Lee emphasised that he only speaks about what he saw and heard. In that regard, I thought to myself that if what I speak is truly from God, then it would spread, but if it is from people, then wouldn't everything perish? After graduating from a Presbyterian seminary, I began my ministry, but the Presbyterian Church was very corrupt. All religions have come to an end. What I felt while ministering was that the Korean church is in great need of repentance, and since it has become corrupt in terms of finances and the like, I myself must repent and start anew.”

Q. What motivated you to sign an MOU with Shincheonji recently?
“There is a desire to focus on the ministry of the gospel with a higher level of spirituality through cooperation and study of the Word of God at Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony. I was moved by the passion, dedication, love and service of the members of Shincheonji Church. I've found new life.”
The pastors in attendance expressed their feelings that it was time to leave their church denominations, set aside their prejudices for a while and adopt the mindset to 'verify the words of Shincheonji'.
(Interview: Pastor)
“I have been in ministry for about 20 years. After studying the elementary, intermediate, and advanced courses (of Shincheonji), I signed the first MOU in Gwangju/Jeonnam. What is the conclusion of Shincheonji? In order to go to heaven and attain eternal life, you must know the words of the Book of Revelation. If you don't know, you can't go to heaven. That's why I'm trying to testify diligently. Shouldn't we change the church signage and put up a new one in the coming spring? I am trying to put the name 'Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony' of Peter tribe on our church.”
(Interview: Pastor)
“In the past, we were educated in such a way that we were forbidden from going to Shincheonji and were told that it's a heretical organisation. That's how I was educated. But the reality is that these people from Shincheonji are so kind and supportive; they prayed for me to complete the Bible course. I'm very grateful. My vision is a source of strength and there are many pastors from today's churches around me. What I would like to say is that church ministry should be like this.”
Q. You mean based on the words of Shincheonji?
“That’s right. Unless you go through the words of Shincheonji...Because you know what the existing church is teaching. If the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is given, I can only give you what is from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but I don't want to give you this knowledge of good and evil anymore. I only want to give everyone the fruit of the tree of life that comes from the tree of life. What those people (Shincheonji) have is the tree of life, and what I had was the tree of good and evil. Oh, how beautiful I thought that the shape of my tree and its fruits were, but inside it was as good as nothing. Can you understand this burning heart of mine?”
Q. What do you want to say to the pastors around you?
“I'm asking you to come and check whether the God you serve is the real God and whether the knowledge you possess is the truth.”
The enthusiastic response from the pastors who attended the five lecture seminars proves that the message of Shincheonji is resounding in the religious world.
