Shincheonji Volunteer Group partners with Klapmuts Ward Office & Community in Western Cape, South Africa
The purpose of Shincheonji Volunteer Group, founded in South Korea by Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus), is to break down the barriers of societal conflict found within class, gender, religion, and politics, and unite hearts and minds for the betterment of local communities, by putting the command of God and Jesus to love one's neighbour into practice according to the teachings received from heaven.
In recent years, Shincheonji Volunteer Group has become increasingly active in communities outside South Korea, particularly in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas and Oceania. Recently, on 20th May 2023, the Klapmuts Ward office and Klapmuts community in Western Cape partnered with Shincheonji Volunteer Group in Cape Town. The main aim was to clean Mandela City and parts of the new houses from Arum Lilly to Coronation to Cornflower to Alexander to Blossom and William Street. All litter collected was placed in the skip bins along Alexander Street. Local sellers also donated fruit for all the children.
