Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus) regularly opens its doors to the public to provide sound teaching through Bible-based lectures on a range of topics, especially the Book of Revelation, to address existing misunderstandings and prejudices about Shincheonji among the Christian community, and foster deeper ties with communities throughout South Korea.

This month, from 9th-10th June, Shincheonji Gwangju Church (Peter Tribe, led by Jung-woo Lee) held a lecture on the true meaning and secret to happiness on the theme 'Making My Life More Radiant'.

Mr. Kim (53), who attended the lecture, said, “This place is really heaven. Everyone looks happy.” Expressing interest in the Bible, he said, “After listening to the lecture, I wish to take the opportunity to study in depth.”

Mr. Kim, who said that he had held onto a lot of prejudice and misunderstandings about Shincheonji, said, “When I entered the church, I was surprised by how bright the atmosphere was. It was completely different from what I had thought. People here look happy. I want to be a part of this place.”

Mr. Kim was amazed to learn that in the Bible, as a result of God leaving this world, the entity that has been ruling over the earth is the dragon (Satan). He said, “I didn’t know that the Bible says that when the dragon is caught, death and pain will disappear and heaven will come. Hearing this word has filled my heart and given me hope.”

The lecture held at Shincheonji Gwangju Church was on the same theme as last May, 'Making My Life More Radiant', and 2000 people, including family members, friends, and acquaintances of Shincheonji members, attended, and it was a great success from morning to evening. The event satisfied the five senses with its colourful cultural performances and various experience booths.

In particular, the contents of the lecture by Jung-woo Lee, which was held on the 4th floor, moved Mr. Kim. The tribe leader taught that the cause of the cycle of 'birth, ageing, sickness, and death' is not man's fault, but it is because the relationship with God has been severed due to the appearance of an evil entity called Satan. The lecture content on 'religion' showed that this disconnect can be resolved and the lifeline restored.

Also, the tribe leader emphasised, “Religion is a good thing that can give us life and peace. If you live according to the Bible, which contains God’s will, you too can go to heaven and live well.”

Lastly, the tribe head explained the difference between the existing church and Shincheonji according to the Book of Revelation: “The Bible is comprised of 66 books, but the established churches only know up to Jude (the 65th). The last part of the Bible is the Book of Revelation, and this Book of Revelation is a book of prophecy which can be understood only when the Bible is fulfilled.”

He said, “The reason people gather here at Shincheonji is because of this secret ingredient. This is being revealed only in Shincheonji, so if you think you really need this in your life, I hope you learn it.”

Despite the prejudices and misunderstandings towards Shincheonji Church, Mr. Kim said, “People ask, 'Why does Shincheonji Church have more people than other churches?' I've always been curious about that, but through this lecture, I learned what the 'secret ingredient' is.”

Meanwhile, the Gwangju Church of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, thanks to the enthusiastic response of the event attendees, plans to visit the local people again in July with another lecture entitled 'Happiness: Making My Life Even More Radiant'.
