Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus) regularly opens its doors to the public to provide sound teaching through Bible-based lectures on a range of topics, especially the Book of Revelation, to address existing misunderstandings and prejudices about Shincheonji among the Christian community, and foster deeper ties with communities throughout South Korea.

On the 13th June, Shincheonji Ansan Church (John tribe) held a Bible Seminar on the theme of 'The Story of God and Me' at Hanyang University ERICA Campus in Ansan city, Gyeonggi Province.

On that day, Ki-won Lee, the head of John tribe, gave a lecture on the theme of 'The Story of God and Me and Us All', and about 1500 people attended the online and offline seminar, which was a great success.

The tribe leader maintained that even if this topic seems to have little to do with our individual lives, it is only inevitable that it will eventually become one's story.

He said, “The Bible records events from about 6000 years ago. The people Adam and Eve appear, and God said, 'You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die'.”

He then introduced a tragic story recorded in the Bible, saying, “In the end, they ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and God, the source of life, left, and the gift of eternal life that was given to man became futile and short, and life was then plagued by the cycle of birth, ageing, sickness and death.”

He said, “The devil entered this world, the dwelling of God, but God left and the devil took control of God's world. But God promised that he would return, because life cannot remain like this forever. It is written that when God and the kingdom of heaven returns, there will be no more death, crying or pain.”

Mid-way through the lecture, the tribe leader explained that the universe and the earth was created by God, and although we are weak beings who are living in the world created by God, in the end, living in God's new order is what is the greatest blessing. He emphasised that we must live by believing in the fact that he is coming back to the earth.

Tribe leader Ki-won Lee said, “God is the one who created all things, and He has made it so that we can live happily if we obey His order and live according to His will.” As is written about 'the light of men', when the Word enters our hearts, life comes in and our darkened hearts become bright like light. In the end, the way for people to live the happiest life is through this Word.”

An official from Shincheonji Ansan Church, the organiser, said, “If one truly invests in the Word, no greater value will come into one's life. I hope that you become a child of God born of God's seed.”
